Panjagutta, a small sub urban area in North Hyderabad, is a
developing commercial centre in the famous city. The place is
located in the northern precincts of the city, about five kilometres
from the city center, Abids. Panjagutta is one nearby places of the
popular lake Hussain Sagar in the city. The region is connected with
the rest of the city by major link roads like Ameerpet Road and
Begampet Road.
Panjagutta like many other developing areas of the city is
primarily a residential area. However, the increased commercial
activity since past five years or so has added a new dimension to
the place. The region houses a number of attractions and most of
them highlight the already mentioned aspect. Panjagutta, besides
other attractions and the populace, has a number of hotels and
educational institutes grounded on its territory. Blue Moon, ITC
Grand Kakatiya Sheraton, Green Park, Aditya Park Inn and Shanbagh
are some of the reputed hotels and accommodation providers in the
city. The Seventh Heaven, Metropolis and Park Side, much to the
amusement, are names of some of the known restaurants in the region.
The restaurants offer menu that is filled in with popular and
international cuisine.
There are several acknowledged educational institutes located in
the vicinity which include Vivekananda Institute, Adarsh Junior
College, Sultan-Ul-Uloom College of Pharmacy, Sadana Junior College
and Gouthami Residential College. Further north and not far from the
sub urbs are some of the reputed medical facility providers. The
names of these hospitals and medical institutes goes like Hyderabad
Kidney Centre, Gandhi Nature Care, ESI Hospital, Umega and TB
hospital. Institute of General Drugs and Copy Rights, Institute of
Health and Family Welfare, Institute of Medical Health, Nizam's
Institute of Medical Sciences and Institute of Unani Medical
Research form the accredited research and training institutes in the
city. The institutes offer great career options and have been
constantly visited by the students and professionals from far off
places.
Accessibility :
- Panjagutta is connected to the rest of the city by link
roads and railway lines. The Ameerpet Road proceeds southwards
and leads to the city center. The city center is about 5 kms far
from Panjagutta.
- To avail the opportunity by railways, Begampet Railway
Station is the nearest to Panjagutta. The railway station lies
to the north east and less than a kilometre away.
- Hyderabad Airport brings as close as Begampet locality. The
locality is a couple of kilometres away and Begampet Road
connects it with the Panjagutta.
