Botanical garden is an enchanting Eco-tourist spot, far away from
the hustle bustle of city life. The entire garden is dotted with
thick vegetation, except the path we walk. Charming pine and
eucalyptus trees, with occasional chirping of birds, provide you a
warm welcome to this place. You see an age-old gate leading into a
clear area, once you proceed a half kilometre. On the right side of
this garden, you see a well and on the left, you see an array of
make-shift stoves made using granite stones. This is really a visual
treat for anyone and you feel like pitching a tent here to enjoy the
nature. Of course, tents are available locally.
Major Attractions
Other major attraction of this garden is the Bamboo sector and palm
sector, with different varieties of bamboo trees separated by a 3-m
distance. Special signboards are erected at each bamboo variety
indicating its generic and scientific names, which would be of
immense help, if you were scientifically inclined. Another
attractive sector is the Palm sector with its diverse species. Here
you can find a variety of flowers in abundance, as Cosmos, both in
yellow and purple, blue Salvia, red Raselia, etc.
